I used to buy earplugs from Lab Safety Supply… still working my way through the last box of a hundred pairs that I bought a few years ago. Lots cheaper per set if you buy in bulk.
LSS were bought up by Grainger, and Grainger has a whole lot of varieties in their catalog… some up to 33 dB.
Well if you have the budget…
You can allway get yourself a pair of custom made silicone earplugs.
They are betwen 100$ and 200$ a pair but they last at least 5 years and you wont get infections from them since they are silicone and therefore non-porus.
Whispers to Dave…these goggles wont work, dont you remember from the last class every student was screaming “The goggles they do nothing!!!” and the fabric became bonded to their faces…, dave remember?

Where do you get those 30dB earplugs? The ones I use are 2 dB, which is more than it sounds like, but not always enough.
