I’m reminded of a mind control story called Capes And Crepes, about a supervillain snaring other supers to work in his cafe. None go missing because they only work a couple two-hour shifts a week and outside the building they had no memory of working there and a subconscious compulsion to return for their next shift.
Was just thinking something similar: not only has she agreed to this, but her personality (did she always have that accent?) has completely changed just by putting on half of her outfit…
It seems too clean and tidy to take down Loup like this. Something’s got to happen that muddies the waters.
An earlier version of Loup would go nuts trying to get ahold of this last piece of Coyote. Because then he’d be “complete” and his problems with control would all go away. This Loup might still do it. That might be what he was angling for.
Honestly? There are people who appreciate a sassy and brassy server. It’s sometimes fun to have someone who will be a little spitfire and not take your crap. She’s likely to be popular if she accepts and I am certain that the bossman knows that.
Bet you anything that the Boss is one of those people who can somehow read people and their suitability for working there which is why he seemed pleased that she came out of her shell and started sassing his butt.
…. I’m not sure whether I should recommend you go read some entries on notalwaysright(dot)com or not… Just the restaurant ones alone might make your head explode. :/
A Were-Tsundere! I like It! Were-Badger My Apologies to Anyone Who Actually Speaks the Language, but GOOGLE Sensei says that Would be:

For anyone who is unfamiliar with Japanese culture, Maid cafes, anime, etc. this should be a good intro. It was the shortest one I could find but is a good start. Introducing Akihabara, Tokyo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-Y0-fl93Es
Yoinks! She grew a set o’ big brass ones in a big dang hurry.
Sorta like Devyn being so shy with Atsali a d then turning on a dime and ripping that smarmy functionary a new one.
Looks like there’s a Tsundere Storm a comin.
Holy Shit. This place is DEFINITELY gonna be good for her.
Her hair thingies are almost as expressi e as Nadette’s ears or Castela’s roses.
Indicative of different things, of course, but…
Y’know, Rosslyn, you could’a just turned the job offer down.
Shortstack powers activate!
Assertion achievement unlocked!
I wonder if she knows Cricket, well enough to be using her as a role model?
Something along those lines occured to me…
It was the last panel.

I wonder… Will the assertion powers she acquired go away when she changes out of the costume?
Not a bad guess given what Daylla is like outside of work. We’ll probably also see Mika as her own description of who she is outside the cafe.
Meanwhile, tonight, in other news: Antimony Carver takes TWO levels in Badass over at “Gunnerkrigg Court”
I wondered why Coyote caved so readily to Ysengrin, but it seems he’d already made plans.
I’m looking forward to seeing how that resolves given Loup/Tarrek’s feeling for Lana and his ongoing inaction towards the Court and others.

Loup seemed to be learning something in this incarnation, but, well, who knows?

Why are you giving a server your crap in the first place?

Not everyone can call their boss a Baka and get away with it…
Hmmmm… A were-Tsundere. Except it’s wearing certain clothes instead of a full moon that triggers the transformation.
Maybe go light on the hours to start. This could end up being emotionally exhausting.

Oh Ross, don’t you realize you’re EXACTLY what he’s been looking for? Funsized, gigantic gazongas, attitude up the yin-yang, etc.
