Hmmm. I think the best thing to do is to practice in a mirror using her facial muscles. That and get a chart demonstrating common expressions. Digits very smart. She’ll get it in no time. After all, this is just a new language to add to her extensive repetoir.
I actually picked up on her flat aspect early on. I’m glad it showed up as an exposition point. Watching her figure out how to show emotions should be fun.

The position of Digit’s breasts in panel-1 is reminiscent of the character designs in the ^original^ Gundam anime series.
