Castela is a tough cookie. She took a 35% chance of getting punched and soldiered on. You can call her a manipulator if you want, but I call her a hero.
Well, even in full bird-hulk mode, I don’t think Atsali could hurt Castela physically. I suspect only Bud, Brandi, and Mayahuel could actually do her serious injury. It’s more the emotional hit that would come along with physical one, of misreading(mis-smelling?) her sister and possibly coming off as a meddling jerk.
Yeah. Castella demonstrated that she couldn’t be injured easily way back when she stabbed herself while running with sissors. I imagine she would simply absorb the punch. So it really would be more an emotional blow since Atsali couldn’t actually injure Castella physically.
Though she has shown fear of Atsali’s wrath in past comics, like when she went off blabbling about the foot licking. Also they’ve fought, even though it was a younger stinkweed at the time, Atsali’s got hidden powers as well, probably from her succubus form.
Also don’t forget Monica’s in the Titan level bracket. She put Bud in a hole in the sand.
Hrm… Her sense of smell is reduced BECAUSE she got punched in the nose, repeatedly, until she learned not to rely on it. I am reminded of the episode where Counselor Troi loses her empathic abilities temporarily… Next Generation, Season 4, Episode 10: The Loss.
Castela is not a manipulator, she is a teacher, and, it seems, a very good one. If you are put into a situation where you learn something, and nothing about the situation is concealed from you, you haven’t been manipulated, you’ve been taught. Or manipulated into learning, which I’d say is pretty much the same thing. ‘Show, don’t tell.’
Yup, the best lessons are those where you find the answers yourself, and, from what Stela said the last page, people had been trying to tell Sali she needs to actually talk with her girlfriend, but it wasn’t registering until she was put in to a situation where that was the answer

It varies. If she’s in a non-para area she will make the effort to look all human with the eyes any normal human has. IOW not black orbs like her mama…
With her friends she’s a lot more relaxed and usually has those swirls on her cheek, which are probably wines that’s curled together forming her cheeks, and the open eye holes with the pistil pupils.
When she’s upset or enraged though she gets the black eyes with the white pupil. I think we’ve seen her with some red eyes also, but that might have been another little girl, or demon, or demigod, or elemental, or…
Her arms are limp at her sides, so not pushing her breasts together at all, and as she mentioned, that particular bikini doesn’t do much at all to hold them in place either.
Two-legs have NO sense of smell.
Castela, in her basic nature, is a no-legs, and her sense of smell is at least cat class, if not wolf class.
Castella’s sense of smell is almost a minor form of telepathy.

That was probably Conscience you are thinking of (Shelly’s elemental Companion). She also is eye-variable, in some very creepy ways at times.
